You make me brave

20 miles solo this morning. And the demons were out early.  I was ready though and I'm happy that despite their best intentions, I conquered!

Nikes channel bridge. In the wind, done
(I did call for backup and decided not to conquer it again on the way home).

The famous "scuba key" stretch. Done, without a single cramp.

They came early and then the rest was just fantastic! The temp was nice and chilly, I started here with a beanie and headlamp. 5 in the dark. Then home for my caffiene gel and to drop off excess gear. Then I headed East towards the sunrise, over the bridge and the Ramrod station for wayer, banana and another gel. almost to Blue Hole on BPK. I saw Eagrets, roosters and other wildlife and enjoyed a whole pack of jelly beans... The family met me at 5brothers and I hurried home for an ice bath in the canal and a warm shower.  My average pace was 11:01

I cannot wait for this marsthon!

Note to self

It's fun and helps the time go by when you're meeting up with someone during a long run. But then you think again when that someone is a high school cross country runner, making you do sub 10s at miles 8-10! The funny thing was, when I dropped her off and finished my 12, I didn't slow down!  Score.
